Back From Bangkok

Bangkok! Bangkok! Bangkok!

Spending 6 days in Bangkok was an interesting experience indeed. Here are some major highlights from the trip.

Spider Show
I was introduced to a new vocabulary called "Spider Show". For those who are as clueless as I was before, Spider show is also known as 3 in 1. As in male female, female female and male male. If you are visiting Thailand anytime soon, please make time for this show as it is worth the experience.

Aqua (Lady Boy) Show
Alcazar presents you with the best lady boy performance. I was told that Alcazar is where all the lady boy Caberet originated. I was thrown back by the performance. It was spectacular. The lady boys are so beautiful with their elaborated costumes and make up. Also, the stage was impressive. It was an hours show and it was worth every penny. I paid 600 baht via the travel agent and hence could be cheaper if you purchase it directly.

Thai Massage
Thai Massage is a perfect way to end your day after a long day. It starts from for feet all the way up to your head. You will be twisted into the oddest position and you can hear your muscles crack. It may sound scary but it is all good. After the massage, you will feel so relaxed. Please go for the 2 hours massage and nothing lesser.

Shopping
There are tonnes of malls in bangkok. If you are looking for a bargain, head to MBK or Pratinum. You really need to have great bargaining skill to obtain great deals. For more upscale shopping, head on to Siam Paragon. Its a nice mall with branded goods.

Sex Trade
Walking down the busy street of Pattaya, I was surprised by the level of prostitutions. I am aware that "sex tours" are common there but it was still an eye opener when you actually witness it in person. I didn't even want to talk into any of the bars because I find it rather disturbing watching all the horny white men caressing the Thai girls. It was saddening to see the horny white men molesting the working girls along the street when they are walking down the street. Come on! Treat these girls with some respect.

Malaysia 2008 Election

Being a responsible citizen, I registered myself to vote on Feb 2007 and therefore was really looking forward to cast my frist vote. Unfortunately, I was let down by our government as my record was not found in the system. To make the matter worst, my brother who registered in Dec 2007 was in the freaking record. The only difference is that he registered in Malacca and I did mine in KL.

You can imagine how freaking furious I was. I am tried of the government non sense and I could not vote. Deep down I ponder what the hell the government is doing to "spice" up the voting results.

Fortunately, I am very happy with the results of this election. Our opposition took 5 states! Malaysian have finally come together to vote against the government and expressed that we are freaking fed up with the way the rule the country! Times like this I am so proud to be Malaysian.

It is also heart felt when we see the old come out to vote. We, the younger generation, should follow this example and VOTE!

The next few months is going to be interesting. Let see what happens.

Moving Apartment

I moved to a new apartment today. Moving is not an easy task and it is very tiring. I am impressed I managed to move my heavy luggage up and down the fleet of stairs. I

My current apartment is better than the previous one as it is slightly bigger. However, one big issue, the water heating is not working efficiently! I need my showers, at least twice a day. If the heating don’t work I am going to suffer.

There is nothing much I can do now. I will make a complaint on Monday. Sigh, This absolutely sucks!
